Orange, White, and Blue

  • Saengerrunde Hall 1607 San Jacinto Boulevard Austin, TX, 78701 United States (map)

This piano quartet concert featuring Beerthoven all-stars Sohee Kwon on piano, cellist Daniel Kopp, violist Luis Bellorin and newcomer violinist Ben Kronk will pull together old and new threads of American classical music, from its early inspirations in the works of Dvorak and Brahms to the contemporary work Thousandth Orange by Caroline Shaw. The program will also feature the world premiere of a work by Karl Mitze (violist and composer for Invoke).

Thanks to our sponsors, this program features two intermissions flush with warm pretzels generously provided by Easy Tiger, cold beer by Lazarus Brewing, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages--at no additional cost!

Beerthoven events are family-friendly; kids are welcome! Student tickets are available for $10 at the door. To purchase student tickets in advance of the concert, email daniel@beerthoven.com with your request. Children 3 and under may attend at no charge.

This event will take place on the main, downstairs stage at the historic Saengerrunde Hall in downtown Austin; home to Austin's oldest cultural institution, the German singing society the Austin Saengerrunde. Experience Beerthoven in the heart of the Live Music Capital of the World!

This project is supported in part by an Elevate Grant of Austin Arts, Culture, Music, & Entertainment.
